Williwaw Farm is a no till, regenerative* farm on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. We produce vegetables, seedlings and pasture raised eggs for our neighbors in Easton, St Michaels, Cambridge, Denton and beyond.

Our Mission is to grow wholesome, delicious food and nurture a community of healthy eaters while building our soil with regenerative practices.

*We are in the process of organic certification!

We’re back! With beans! Rattlesnake pole beans headed to the St Michael’s Farmers Market this Saturday. Pole beans are said to be tastier than their bush bean cousins, and I couldn’t agree more!

It’s a jungle out here!

Tough to see through the tangle but we “lowered and leaned” the tomato vines today so they can keep on climbing!

I’m taking a break from the heat this week! Williwaw Farm will not be at the St Michael’s Farmers Market this Saturday.

It’s indoor project time....cleaning garlic, making garlands and seeding trays in the glorious air conditioni

Tons of extra sweet mini peppers headed to market tomorrow, plus fresh cayenne, loads of eggplant, tomatoes, basil, potatoes, carrots, radishes, arugula, pea shoots and sunflower shoots!

Pretty cool perspective on the farm! And a google maps satellite view from before I got started for comparison. The outlines of the chicken houses that used to be here are clearly visible. Pretty amazing difference in 3 years!

Spotted at a local grocery store this week - 3oz of gross brown basil for $5! Seriously, it’s pesto season! Its hardly worth pulling out the food processor for 3oz. We’re doing >1/4lb bunches for $3 all summer long and you can’

2022 garlic harvest is done! Big, beautiful, juicy, fresh heads of Music off to the @wylderhotelti and the rest hanging to cure.

BTW did you know that lots of grocery store garlic comes from China? You can tell if all the roots have been removed,

FRESH GARLIC!! The first of the season, headed to St Michael’s Farmers Market tomorrow!

Fresh garlic is juicy and delicious, plus super easy to peel! Grab some basil too and the possibilities are endless!

Nothing left to be done but move on. Another 200’ of tomatoes went in the ground, in the rain today. I’ll leave the original planting in to see if any of the plants might recover, and hope to see some fruits from the new ones by the end

Bad news....This is what happens to otherwise healthy tomato plants when herbicide drifts in from a neighboring field.

Long rant to follow, but to sum it up: nothing else appears affected, the MD department of Agriculture is running samples to find
